Tangorodrim

I cant find any biography of the band so I post this Interwiew that is very interesting.

Greetings mates....first of all please tell us the most important steps in your band history! What is Tangorodrim all about, what did you release yet and what does the name Tangorodrim mean?

First of all I have to say: everything that relates to TANGORODRIM means alcohol, so TANGORODRIM are pure alcoholics. And instantly our rehearsals come from memories (it happens once in three month). Sometimes it simply turns into fucking hard drinking instead. So we ain't musicians at all in this project. And as you see TANGORODRIM was formed five years ago … in one of our hard drinking nights.

As far as I know you moved from Russia to Israel. Can you please tell me why you moved in such a country as Israel? I could imagine it's not so easy to play this music you do in that country because of their fanatic religion, do you have big problems concerning this point? How is the situation in Israel, we only hear bad things about war in our daily news….do you face this problem each day? How is the Metal scene in Israel?

Everything we do and everything that happens in this country could be never connected, because nobody knows about TANGORODRIM and because we don't give a shit about this "fanatic religion", and about metal scene - there is no real metal scene, including us. We don't belong to any scene/race at all.

I think your music is quite untypical if you compare it with other bands from this country like Bishop of Hexen or the mighty Grimoire. My first thought was that you are influenced by Darkthrone during their "Total death" era! What do you think about this comparison and are there more influences? By the way can you tell me if the mentioned bands (Bishop of Hexen and Grimoire) are still alive, because they didn't release any new release in the last time.…

Unfortunately we don't have any information about such bands as Bishop of Hexen or the Grimoire. You are right about our influences - it's definitely DARKTHRONE influence and maybe HELLHAMMER and we quite often raise our bottles to these bands !!! And even more often !!!

Your CD "Unholy metal way" is a fucking killer full of metal hymns! How do you create this piece of art and who is responsible for which part? Do you prefer the faster parts on the album or the "softer" ones? Are there any things you worry about afterwards? Would you like to change something now? What do you want to express with your title "Unholy Metal way"? I could imagine it means more to you than just an album title…

After drinking unlimited amount of beer and getting into DARKTHRONE through the bones , the fucking desecration happens … that's how our music is created. Yes you are absolutely right. "Unholy Metal Way" isn't just an album title!!! First of all it's the way of TANGORODRIM! It's the eternal way, very hard, in nowadays transformed into Black Metal ! And about our riffs … it doesn't matter fast ones or slow ones … it's HORNED!!!

Your listeners can't get much informations about you, why didn't you place some photo's in the booklet or something like that? Is it your aim to stay out of light and just play the music you want to or are there other reasons? How can your listeners contact you directly?

All information about us is available on our site at www.aggressorprod.com (this site is no longer good). We thought that photos in the booklet aren't necessary at all.

How do you see the role of your label Aggressor Productions? How did you get the deal and are you satisfied with them yet? What can you tell us about this label, are there more bands like Tangorodrim on this label? Is it hard to stay in underground for you? How was the response about your CD yet worldwide?

The only reason of AGGRESSOR PRODUCTIONS existence is release of TANGORODRIM. Pagan Records liked our album and they are interested in distribution. We received a lot of good feedbacks from several labels and magazines, and some fans of Black Metal.

How do you see the Metal scene nowadays? Are there bands you like a lot and who deserve support and are there bands you don't like at all? Do you get much informations about Metal underground in Israel easily?

Metal scene, as always is great. There are thousands of brilliant bands over the world. There are few we don't like but I see no sense to speak about them. The bands we like are - AC/DC , Motörhead , Entombed , Autopsy ,Rabies Caste , Breach , Carpathian Forest , Thy Repentance etc. As every other country, Israel has tv, internet, magazines - as you see we can get all information we need.

Did you ever play live yet? If yes what can we expect from a Tangorodrim gig and is it possible to see you live in Europe, too, in the future?

We never played a gig with TANGORODRIM. Most probably that we'll never play live.

"Unholy Metal way" was recorded 1999…a long time ago. Do you have some plans concerning a new album or something like that? If yes what can you tell us about it and are there more future plans?

Next year we are planning to release our second album which we already completed. At these days we are recording our third album.

Last words?

We raise our bottles to ETERNAL ATMOSPHERE OF UNHOLY BLACK METAL!

Una montagna di balle! A mountain of Lies, the true story of Napolis Trash

UNA MONTAGNA DI BALLE

This video is in Italian, I'm sorry. It tells us the true story about all the political and economical aspects about the Napoli's thrash affair, a problem that noone as interest to solve or to resolve, but only to grow up, stealing and making money on people's blood, condamning thousand of citizens to a slow death by toxic waste, by inhaling fine dust.

7 Generations, the break up!

This was one of the greatest band of the last years!
They have done only a demo and this album, those guys come from california!
They split up and a few days ago there was their final show in San Diego.

Our entire community is overrun by self-aggrandizing individuals attempting to make more of themselves than can be truthfully maintained. If nothing else, in this moment, let us be honest with one another. Music does not change the world, however it can change the individual and that is what 7 Generations is. 7 Generations is an attempt on behalf of five individuals to express their angst, frustrations, ideas and hope. In doing so 7 Generations seeks to create moments within the hardcore community in which we can express these aspects of ourselves and share these moments with individuals who desire an outlet for their own expression of similar emotions, or perhaps individuals awaiting a recognition of these feelings within themselves. In hardcore we have seen a forum through which individuals can express, inspire, create and grow. This is what 7 Generations endeavors to partake in and enhance. It is central to our perspective that hardcore is legitimate and alive only when it is independent and ever-questioning. As such, 7 Generations maintains a D.I.Y. ethic and encourages the rejection of the mainstream music industry and mainstream mentalities. We embrace veganism and the struggle for animal liberation, because needless slaughter and brutality is unjustifiable and the consequences are far too destructive. We live a straightedge lifestyle, because escapism subordinates growth, edification and fulfillment. We align ourselves with the cause of feminism and womyn’s liberation, because patriarchy is a ubiquitous oppression that is one and the same with other objectifying bigotries such as racism and speciesism. We are anti-christs, because Abrahamic Religion has been the face of horrible death for far too many and we reject the fundamental myths that theism is built upon. We are anarchists, because we recognize the lineage of history as a story of mass power structures time and again forsaking autonomous existence. We have no delusions of our band holding some grandiose purpose that will have an impact on the world. We do not expect to become a cornerstone of punk rock history. We are simply five individuals who are thoroughly discontent with many aspects of civilization and we are attempting to vent our anger and share our hope with anyone willing.

I love little girls!

For a while, Oingo Boingo were the most popular New Wave band from Southern California. "Weird Science" and "Dead Man's Party" were ubiquitous anthems for high school students the world over, and with good reason. With music penned by singer-songwriter Danny Elfman and arranged by guitarist Steve Bartek, Oingo Boingo brought forth the ultimate in party pop. A clever balance of chaos and precision, their songs are filled with memorable hooks, spot-on horn parts, pointed guitars, prominent rhythms and all manner of synth sounds. Their relationship was so successful that the duo continues to collaborate on film scores. Elfman's lyrics -- covering everything from delinquency and pedophilia to visions of a dystopian future -- countered the music well, providing a dark side to the band's chirpier moments. Quirk rock was never so much fun.

Indianapolis!! Livin' in the 80's

It came out of nowhere in 1982, this punk rock/hardcore fireball with the bright yellow sleeve. In one sense, The Zero Boys' Vicious Circle was yet another example of how U.S. punk seemed to peak coast to coast that year. But unlike most coastal punk, the Zero Boys were pointing the way to a scene that could accommodate heaping helpings of melody, intelligence, and rock 'n' roll sus, not just turbo-charged ferocity.

From 1979 into '83, the Indianapolis based ZBs were the finest hardcore blitz in the Midwest if not all the lower 48 states. Proof is Vicious Circle and the two decades since of copyists, bootleggers, practitioners and reunion concert pogoers.

Though before and after that LP's 1982 release they recorded the Livin' in the 80's 7", songs for three comps and released the post-mortem History Of... cassette revealing their transformation into a toured band warming to the metaphysical and their demise while still waving torches of rock 'n' roll panache.

Hate To Be Human

LIK (occult black rock/depressive black metal)

Formed in 2000 by Armagedda members.

About LIK, interview with Armagedda, Ajna Offensive Aug 2004 : "the reason why I created LIK was simply that I wanted to speak out my thoughts in a more varied way by using synth and clear vocals which was not considered to fit the essence of Armagedda at that time. It is true that LIK is not a Black Metal project and there is a theoretical possibility to mix the material of LIK into the nowdays Armagedda but that will never happen because of various reasons. There is a resemblance between these two acts, of course. It would be pretty strange if there was nothing that reminded LIK of Armagedda or vice versa since I create as much "music" in LIK as I do in Armagedda but when I develop material I feel where it belongs and as long as I feel that difference, these two children will be hold apart. Also, the impression I get by listening to LIK brings a lot of emotions and memories which also are one of the reasons for the existence of this project of Occult Black Rock. There is nothing that says that LIK will continue perform tunes in the same way as Må Ljuset Aldrig Nå Oss Mer did since I let my subconsious be my guide. It is foremost to me LIK shall be spoken." Iskra is a canadian anarchist crust-punk and extreme metal band founded in Victoria, British Columbia in 2002. Their name in Russian means "spark" (искра).

Because the band performs, records, and releases their material outside of the confines of the mass media, Iskra are considered part of the anarchist underground punk musical tradition, by blending elements of crust, punk, black metal, power violence and grindcore, Iskra say they have created their own subgenre, "blackened crust." The band includes former members of the earlier anarchist punk band Black Kronstadt, who in later years also described their music as "blackened crust.
Lyrically, Iskra follow in the anarcho-punk tradition of Crass and Conflict. Self-proclaimed anarchists, the band addresses social issues like homophobia, sexism, racism, struggles of indigenous peoples, the effects of political organization, both Right and Left wing, as well as capitalist institutions.

Texas in the days!

The Dicks always gigged with Big Boys, and Austin Hardcore evolved around those two groups. The Dicks were led by Gary Floyd, a fat gay singer dressed in weird drag, who'd take enema bags filled with liver and condoms filled with mayonnaise and hurl them at the crowd.
The classic Dicks - frontman Floyd with mean-ass members bassist Glen Taylor, guitarist Buxf Parrot, drummer Pat Deason - started as a "poster band", the posters promoting imaginary shows at ficticious clubs, saying things like "First ten people with guns drink for free." Their first gig was May 1980, at "The Punk Prom" at Armadillo World Headquarters.
Gary Floyd, whose powerful Johnny Winter-style Texas Blues howl made him one of the era's greatest vocalists, was a virulent Marxist who delivered incendiary anthems like "Dicks Hate Police", the title of their first single (self released in '80 on Radical Records, not to be confused with R Radical Records, later MDC's label) and "Anti Klan." In '83 Maximum RockNRoll put the Dicks on the cover: a picture of Gary in a mohawk and mu-mu with the title: "The Dicks A Commie Faggot Band!??!"

Big Boys - Fun Fun Fun

DL

On this date in 1982, Big Boys released their third record of their own (they released a split album with The Dicks). It was an EP called Fun, Fun, Fun.... It contained the tracks, "Nervous", "Apolitical", "Hollywood Swinging", "Prison", "We Got Soul" and "Fun, Fun, Fun". None of these tracks appeared on their debut studio album, Industry Standard (also known as the Where's My Towel? album). The Austin, Texas punk band lasted until 1984.

KILL FROM THE HEART:
Welcome to KILL FROM THE HEART, a page devoted to documenting and discussing the roots of hardcore punk rock. The goal of this project is to make information, especially primary documents like interviews, available to as many people as possible. It is not meant to be a glorification of the past. If anything, we hope that access to documents from "back in the day" will demystify the early scene, which has been mythologized as some kind of paradise lost by many jaded elitists. There were great bands before the early 80's and there are plenty of great bands around today. In truth, punk was just as full of bullshit and bad ideas then as it is now. The punk scene is a place of contested meaning and competing definitions. Don't look through the info we've collected hoping to find some absolute, pure definition of what punk was or should be. This is impossible in a culture that has always been self-defined by the people who are creating it at a given place and time. This page collects artifacts from what was, at one time, punk rock. Right now the context, and therefore the meanings of what punk is, are totally different than they were then. Make up your own mind and draw your own conclusions about what is important.

In the present age of information as commodity, the DIY punk scene is under threat of losing our vital history to the vaults of collectors who covet records, zines, and other memorbillia of the past because of its exclusive value as a rare possession. This site is in opposition to that kind of hoarding collector culture and its foundation of elitism. It is limited by our knowledge and abilities, but in punk rock everyone is an expert.

Cloack Dagger

One day the kudzu will take over the South, streaming through abandoned cars, cracking through building facades and ultimately washing away humanity's insouciant past. Or, at least, that is the post-Apocalyptic image below the Mason-Dixon line. (Up North, people tend to envision smouldering cityscapes and talking rats.) Although raised in the former seat of the Confederacy, Richmond, VA's Cloak/Dagger manages to invoke both flavors of doom, as well as a few others that haunt the imaginations of folks worldwide. Culling from the likes of Black Flag and Circle Jerks along with driving-guitar-groove bands like Hot Snakes and Swiz, Cloak/Dagger inject some applied aggression into
their rhythmic crunch. Formed as little more than a temporary project in October 2006, the group recorded its first demo within the month, soon deciding to stay in the game a bit longer. After East Coast shows with groups like Paint it Black, Fucked Up, Kill Your Idols and Career Suicide, the group had fine-tuned its raw, unpolished punk sound. Abrasive, in a good way. Ugly, in the best way. Who could form a more perfect and lasting union?
